The incense oil is a brownish brown viscous volatile essential oil with special incense and burnt incense. The powder is brownish purple or yellowish brown, soluble in ethanol, most non chemical book volatile oils and mineral oils, and insoluble in glycerin and propylene glycol. It is made from the dried (shady) roots of Coriandrum sativum, a perennial herb of the genus Aegilops, crushed, distilled with steam or extracted with solvent, and then distilled with resinous extract.
